The rugby league family came together once again in support of cancer battler Tony Barrow.
A testimonial benefit dinner for the former RL ace was held last Sunday at Langtree Park.
Organised by Martin Ford, Ste, Paula and Amy Cunningham and Terry Moran. The afternoon was hosted by top class RL patriots, Kieron Cunningham, Terry O’Connor, Barrie McDermott, Karl Kirkpatrick, Tommy Martyn and Paul Sculthorpe, who were on the top table at the event.
Prestigious guests included Martin Murray, Gary Boardman and Linzi Prescott.
Along with the dinner was Comedian Jamie Sutherland and a very successful auction which saw assets such as, Martin Murray’s signed glove. signed Saints shirts, Steven Gerard signed piece and much more.
Everyone was inspired by a speech from Tony himself who was so grateful for all that was done.
This makes the efforts made by the Committee and all TBT Ambassadors worthwhile.
He told supporters: “Thank you to everyone for coming, I am overwhelmed by the support that has been shown for me.”
Tony will commence treatment in the following weeks and all wish him all the luck in the world.
“An inspirational man and a credit to the game of rugby league and the town of St Helens.
