TWELVE-year-old Adam Ashton (pictured) has made it through to the final of a once-in-a-lifetime competition.
The Rainford High was among a handful of youngsters chosen for the final of the Barclays Ball Kid tournament.
Successful candidates will get the chance to become the ball boy or girl at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals held at The O2, London, in November.
Adam showed impressive athleticism, agility, endurance, co-ordination, ball skills, and team work during the regional final.
The final in London will be held on April 28.
Mark Magrath, head trainer of the Barclays Ball Kids Talent ID Team, said: “We had a fantastic array of talent in Manchester. A lot of kids turned up, it was a great trial, very competitive with a lot of strong athletes.
“It was really nice to see kids that play a variety of different sports to such a high standard as well as a lot of tennis players and it made our job really difficult when selecting the kids for the National Selection Trials in April.”
