A NEW 10 week course on the fascinating origins of some of St Helens’ most famous old buildings is being launched.
The course - being held at Newton Community Centre on Park Road South in Newton - will also focus on how buildings got their names.
It will also look at the growth of industry and its effects and the growth of Earlestown.
No previous knowledge is required just a desire to find out more about local history and a chance to share your own memories and knowledge.
Concessions are available. For more details contact 01925 224731 or log on to www.newtoncommunitycentre.co.uk
