St Helens Male Voice have an open evening at St Michael and All Angels in Sutton. Anyone thinking of joining the newest Male Voice Choir in the country is welcome to come along and meet current members.

St Helens rock and blues quartet The Swampstompers will be paying their first visit to The Eccleston Arms in Prescot Road, St Helens. Why not pop in to chill out with the Swampies? Admission is free and the event will run from 9.30pm till late.
g Newton-le-Willows Mencap is set to hold a fundraising quiz night at Newton Social Club, Patterson Street. Doors open at 8pm. Entry fee £1.

A coffee morning in aid of the Helen Marie Charity - which helps sick children - is set to be held at Rainford Parish Hall. Admission is 50p. Doors open from 10am until midday.

The mayor of Prescot is hosting a fun-packed, ladies-only, comedy evening with stand-up Pauline Daniels at Prescot Town Hall. Tickets are priced at £20 and are available by calling Gillian Flatley on 07713 818795 or Prescot Town Council on 0151 426 3933.
Thursday, October 30
The last meeting of the year for the Newton-le-Willows Gardeners Association, will start at 7.30pm. The venue will be the Newton Sports and Cricket Club on Crow Lane East. The speaker will be Richard Lewis who will give a talk about ‘Putting the Garden to Bed’. There will also be a raffle, plants for sale and all are welcome to attend, whether members of the association or not. Admission to this event will be free.
