A special Valentines Farmers Market is set to be held at Fir Tree Farm, Kings Moss, St Helens.

The regular monthly Saturday market will feature an exotic flavour of “Goddess” foods and Aphrodisiacs! It will run from 9am-1.30pm.

The next meeting of the St Helens Historical Society will be at the Friends Meeting House in Church Street where the guest speaker will be Tony Sweeney discussing ‘The Deadly Flu’. The meeting will start at 7.30pm.

Thursday, February 20

The next meeting of the St Helens National Trust Centre will be held at St Thomas’ Church, Westfield Street, starting at 2.30pm.

The speaker will be Elizabeth Newall on ‘Port Sunlight and the Lever Family’. Visitors welcome.

The next meeting of the Newton-le-Willows Gardeners Association will be held at Newton Sports and Cricket Club, starting at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Matthew Smith from Brighter Blooms, who will give a talk about summer and autumn flowering bulbs.

Saturday, March 1

The Helen Marie Friends charity holds a coffee morning at Rainford Parish Hall. Admission costs 50p and there will be a cake stall, tombola and raffle.
