Have your say

I’M starting to see all the Olympic memorabilia in shops now.

Driving home the other night there was even signs telling you to ‘plan your route for the Olympics’ ... am I the only person who’s just not interested in the Olympics?

It’s based 200 odd miles away in London, a city which is much closer to France than it is to us.

In fact as we all know, once you get below Warrington it is pretty much France anyway.

London might be our capital, but apart from the odd trip to Wembley, it’s not a place most of us have an affiliation with.

Why couldn’t they put the Olympics a little more central, I dunno....like Widnes?

It’s already got the infrastructure. Like the 33A bus, trains, ten-pin bowling, they could even do the rowing on the Mersey.

And let’s face it, with the amount of people walking around there wearing tracksuits it already resembles an Olympic village anyway.

I understand they are using football venues around the country, so why can’t they do the same with the other events?

They spent £93m on a velodrome. So people can ride a bike around in circles. We’ve got roundabouts like that in Skem!

I WAS sat in my car outside Mothercare in Warrington a few days ago, whilst my missus was inside there doing whatever she was doing.

You should have seen the amount of big bellies on show, one or two of them were pregnant as well.

Anyway, I started looking at a beauty treatment pamphlet that she’d left on her seat.

Now I naively thought beauty treatment was things like getting your nails done or sticking cucumbers on your eyes or whatever.

However, they do some strange things now like sticking your feet in a fish tank to feed their fish. Apparently the fish like to eat the dead skin on your feet.

The one treatment that really stood out for me though was ‘colonic massage’. I had to YouTube this to find out exactly what it was. I can only hope they soundproof the room and keep spraying plenty of Febreeze.

Which naturally brings me onto this brilliant headline on the BBC website last week which said ‘Trump To Oppose Wind Power Scheme’.

Thanks for reading!
