Friday, April 25

West Street Independent Methodist Church will be holding a rummage sale from 6.30pm in the church hall. Admission costs 20p.

g St Thomas’ Church in Eccleston is hosting a concert by Lynn Jones and the United Singers. The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets priced £5 are available on the door.

g West Street Independent Methodist Church in Thatto Heath will be holding a rummage sale from 6.30pm in the church hall. Admission is 20p.

Saturday, May 3

St Peter’s Church in Newton-le-Willows hosts a spring concert by Rainford Ladies Ecumenical Choir starting at 7.30pm. Admission costs £5. All proceeds to church funds.

g Newton Aglow is holding a breakfast meeting starting at 9.15am in the Pied Bull Hotel, High Street, Newton-le-Willows. The guest speaker will be Delia Jepson. Cost £6. Contact 01925 227671 for details.

Every Tuesday

St Helens Parish Church holds a short lunchtime service, starting at 12.30pm. The 20-minute service includes hymns and Bible readings.

g St Michael’s All Angels church on Gartons Lane, Clock Face, holds craft classes for beginners from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Why not pop in and join them? Parishioners also enjoy a cup of tea and a chat after every Sunday’s 9.30am service.

Every Wednesday

West Street Independent Methodist Church holds its luncheon club providing a three-course meal and hot drink for £3.70 in the church hall between 11.45am and 12.30pm. There is no need to book.

Every Thursday

Feeling low on a Thursday? Why not attend West Street Independent Methodist Church’s Club in Thatto Heath. The festivities start from 2pm for two hours of quizzes, music, games and friendly chat.

First and third Monday

St Aidan’s Church’s Vestry hour is between 7pm and 8pm. Enid Hitchen and Rev Alan Overend will be in church. For inquiries about baptisms and weddings.
