Manchester indie band I Am Kloot's frontman plays a rare solo show at the Citadel on Saturday (May 9).
The gig is a rare chance to see John Bramwell, regarding by many as one of this country's finest singer-songwriters, perform a solo gig.
With their brooding acoustic guitars and vocals I Am Kloot attracted the attention of fans and critics alike with songs such as To You, Morning Rain and Dark Star, on their debut album Natural History back in 2001.
Since then they have bolstered their success and popularity by setting out on numerous tours and turning out more critically-acclaimed alternative rock tunes.
They released their eponymous second album in 2003 before producing their third LP Gods and Monsters in 2005.
Later that year they issued a limited edition single entitled Maybe I Should, following some of their biggest headlining gigs in the UK - which culminated in a show at the London Astoria.
In April 2006 Only Role in Town was made available for free download to their fanbase, followed by the release of an album of John Peel session tracks recorded over two sessions in 2001 and 2004.
I Am Kloot's fourth studio album 'I Am Kloot Play Moolah Rouge' went on general release last April.
They are currently working on their fifth studio album with producers Craig Potter and Guy Garvey - from last year's Mercury Award-winning band Elbow.
Tickets for John Bramwell's acoustic gig - which will feature support from Martin Finn - are on sale now priced £10 and £8 for concessions.
