There's plenty to look forward to at The Citadel in the New Year - as the Waterloo Street venue gets its 21st birthday celebrations off to a terrific start.
On Friday, January 9, the venue re-launched its popular under 18s music Overload night, which will continue throughout the year.
Overload will also come to The Citadel on Friday, February 13, and Friday, March 13.
And Steely Dan tribute act 'Nearly Dan' will take to the stage on Saturday, January 24.
In February, singer Connie Lush is set to wow blues fans on Saturday 7th, before bluesy rockers Dr Feelgood head to St Helens on Saturday 21st.
Folk fans will also be delighted to hear that singer songwriter Vin Garbutt is set to play The Citadel on Saturday, February 28.
In March, local favourites The Lancashire Hotpots are set to take to the stage on Saturday 7th, before up and coming local musicians get their chance to show what they're made of at Rubberneck on Friday 20th.
Closing out the month will be folk favourite Martin Simpson on Saturday, March 21, and a solo performance from Liverpool's Ian McNabb, formerly of 80s band The Icicle Works, on Saturday, March 28.
