Saturday, October 27: New Street Methodist Church in Sutton stages a concert by the New Street Singers. Doors open at 7pm and admission (which includes a hotpot supper) costs £5.

Saturday, October 27: Nutgrove Methodist Church will be holding a coffee morning from 10.45am to 1.30pm, serving soup, tea and coffee. There will also be a number of stalls.

Saturday, November 3: St Ann’s Millenium Centre holds a table top sale between 10am and 4pm. Tables cost £5. To book call 0151 493 9350.

Wednesday, November 14: Earlestown Baptist Church on Crown Street is holding a free craft workshop aimed at five to 10-year-old from 4.45pm to 6.15pm. Funded by Children In Need, tutors will teach a host of art activities designed to spark children’s creativity.

Every Monday: St Helens Bible Study Group meets at Central Library from 6pm.

Every Tuesday: Every Tuesday, St Helens Parish Church holds an informal, short worship service that starts at 12.30pm called “20 Minutes on Tuesday.” Everyone is welcome but it is designed especially for those working in the town centre. There are songs, a short Bible reading, a five minute talk on a topical issue, a time of quiet and some prayers. Upcoming themes are: Life Together, Community, and When Relationships Go Wrong.
