Youngsters enjoy the street entertainment at St Helens

AN electic mix of street entertainers descent on St Helens town centre – direct from London’s Covent Garden!

Shoppers, office workers and passers-by were greeted by puppet shows,  featuring pigeons and a giant pig.

It was all part of a fantastic line-up of world-class artists taking part in ‘Summer Streets’.

The showcase street arts festival, featured comedy, music, juggling,  storytelling and street theatre between August 2 and 4 throughout the town centre.

Best of all, the council-run programme was all completely free.

Summer Streets is just one part of St Helens Council’s comprehensive town centre event programme – designed to support town centre retailers and provide residents and visitors with a range of cultural opportunities in the heart of the town centre.”
